The exact date of the first duck is unknown, but it is believed to be in the 1800's with the emergence of rubber manufacturing.

In London a ‘sea’ of around 250,000 blue ducks raced to the finish line down the 1 km stretch of the river Thames, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity.

And the World's largest rubber duck was created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman in 2007, measuring 16.5 x 20 x 32 metres and weighing over 600 kg!
